Summer
program of
activities for families
Kids with parents have access
to numerous organized activities like: boat tour of islands on the
St-Laurence River, tour of historic Côte-de-Beaupré,
karting,
initiation to golfing, canyoning, horseback riding and mountain biking,
visit of a dog sledding summer village, rivers and
waterfalls visit ( 7-Falls,
Canyon Ste-Anne, Jean-Larose waterfalls ), etc.
And for teen-agers
Our experience is that the following activities are specially attractive
for them: a professional karting circuit nearby, Mountain biking from our
houses, River rafting on Jacques-Cartier river, huge water slides at
Village-Vacances-Valcartier, exploring the Sainte-Anne Canyon and crossing
it on the Zip line, down into the Jean-Larose waterfall, Para-gliding from
the top of Mont-Sainte-Anne, and other less Hot activities which we can
recommend to you.
Golf
Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Mont-Sainte-Anne, Le
Grand Vallon is a beautifully rolling 18-hole, par 72 golf course. With
6,583 yards of impeccable fairways, challenging tree-lined stretches, wide
open mid-course sections, four lakes and 40 pure white sand traps, Le Grand
Vallon offers one of the greatest golfing experiences in Québec. We can
reserve your tee-off time in advance.
Spa and
massages
Spring, summer or in autumn, what's better than relaxing in a full
service spa in nature by a beautiful small lake in which we can swim. Zone
Spa is located 5 minutes from our houses and is open to 18 years old and
more. Or you can also rent a portable spa to be installed outside your
chalet.
Swimming
all year around
You have access to
a large indoor pool 5 minutes from our houses.
Included is an exercise room (Nautilus type), a large sauna and a whirlpool.
The rate is $4 per person for swimming and $4 per person for the exercise
room, and it is free for kids under 6.
Isle of Orleans (Ile d'Orléans) for its
agro-tourism
Located half way between Quebec City and Mont-Sainte-Anne, this
beautiful island in the St-Lawrence River makes you travel through history
and offers you generous land food product. Its wineries are remarkable.
Cultural life onstage
The Quebec City region contains many very interesting theatres for stage
performance among which we would like to recommend a few: the
Capitole, the
Palais Montcalm, the
Grand-Théâtre, the
Petit-Champlain, and the
Domaine-Forget in Charlevoix.

More specialized activities
Go paragliding, horseback riding, in-line
skating, canoeing or swimming at the base of waterfalls.
Trout and salmon fishing
You have access to day-fishing into 2 large public parks located les
than an hour from our houses: the Parc des Laurentides and the Parc des
Grands-Jardins. Fishing starts at the end of May and stops at the beginning
of September. Reservations can be made 2 days in advance from 6 p.m. to 9
p.m. at 1 800 665-6527 or
by internet from
8 p.m.
A private owner of a nice lake also allows you
to go day-fishing just passed
Baie-St-Paul. And you can go
Salmon fishing at
Baie-St-Paul on Du Gouffre River.
Hiking in the
forest
Enjoy walks in the forest and surrounding mountains (the Laurentians),
discover our many rivers and waterfalls nearby.
More than 150 Km of trails,
many of them directly from our houses.
Cruises on the St-Lawrence River
You easily have access to day-cruises on the St-Lawrence River, between
Quebec City and Charlevoix region. You have the choice between
a whale-watching cruise, a night or
day cruise around Quebec City, a firework show cruise next to Montmorency
Waterfalls, or an
islands cruise next to Cap-Tourmente, or simply a
ferry boat trip between
Quebec City and Levis.
Bird Watching in a sanctuary
The Cap Tourmente area, located
only 8 minutes from our houses, offers a remarkable landscape with the
confluence of the St. Lawrence River and large coastal marhes, lowlands and
mountains (the Laurentians). A major ornithological site (305 species), one
can observe the spectacular Snow Goose by the thousands each spring and
fall. Interpretation activities and many trails are available.
Breath-taking rivers and waterfalls
You will find in our region a unique variety of waterfalls. The most
important of them being the Montmorency Fall located at the entrance of
our region, the Côte-de-Beaupré. This waterfall is higher than Niagara
Falls! Then we have
Canyon Ste-Anne,
located 5 minutes away by car. A huge river dives into a very deep
canyon. Then we have an old hydro-electric complex called the
Sept-Chûtes (Seven-Falls). Visitors have access to an old hydro-electric
plant. And, walking distance from our houses, you have access to the
Jean-Larose Waterfall where you can practice
Canyonning. The
Jacques-Cartier River is perfect for
river rafting, canoeing and
hydrospeed.
Mountain Biking and Road Biking
Renowned as the Mecca of mountain biking,
Mont-Sainte-Anne features the most spectacular mountain bike network in
eastern Canada. Explore the mountain on our trails designed for the family
or experience the thrills of our double-black and downhill trails. Our 200
kilometres and 14 downhill runs are awaiting you.
Our village is also connected to a 55 Km biking route called "Marie-Hélène Prémont Trail" all along the Cote-de-Beaupré from Mont-Sainte-Anne to
Montmorency Falls, near Quebec City.
A Religious Heritage Circuit
Behind these religious
buildings and the men who shaped them, the Côte-de-Beaupré reveals the life
and history since the beginning of the colony. And you have access to a
special exhibit on a locally produced
traditional Icons, Downtown Quebec City.

Gap Sports is a London,
England, based company which offers
many training
and social service programs around the world. For a few years
Chalets-Village has had the chance of hosting their
ski
program and
snowboard
program at Mont-Sainte-Anne. Trainees ( 18 to 25 years old average) arrive with little experience on
the slopes and through intensive training most make it up to being level
2 instructors.
The Activity lasts 11
weeks (from January to March) and is held in English though you will get
to learn a bit of French making friends with locals. Interns on the
program will stay and eat at one of our cottages. A variety of
activities are included as well to discover the region.

Cross-Country Skiing
The most beautiful and most
diversified trails in Canada, with 212 km of standard groomed trails, an
exceptional ski skating network of 125 km of trails and 18 shelters. It is

Spa and
massages for relaxation
During cold winter time, what is best than getting rejuvenated by hot
and cold transition through spas and whirlpools, indoor and outdoor. And a

Area that offers more than 1500 km of well-groomed trails, part of the

website of the local snowmobile club organization. the is plenty of space
around our cottages to leave your cars and trailers during your excursions.

Skating on a pond
A few minutes from our chalets a frozen lake is host to families skating and
friends playing hockey. Maintained by volunteers and accessible free of
charge, the lake boasts a fantastic view of the mountain on a gorgeous

Daycare centre for
children 6-months old and up (during ski season only)
And for teen-agers
During the winter season, in addition to snow-boarding, teen-agers are
specially excited with the following activities: our skating frozen lake
specially in the evening under the stars, snowboarding ski group lessons,
free Wi-fi internet access from each of our houses, access to a large indoor
swimming pool, the immense snow slides and snow-rafting at Village-Vacances-Valcartier
and ice-climbing at Jean-Larose waterfall.
