The Old English Manor
Built in 1927, this magnificent English style building with 3 floors used to
host foreign engineers of the pulp and paper company Abitibi-Price located
nearby. At the beginning, these employees came from Ontario and England.
This house thus served as an inn for the employees and guests of the
enterprise; it kept that vocation until 1970. Not needing a guest house any
longer the company sold the estate which was transformed into a retirement
house, considerably adding to the safety of the infrastructures. The actor Patrick Labbé later changed its vocation to a art school mostly running in the summer
time.
In 2006, this elegant manor started a new life among the operations of
Chalets-Village MSA. We specialize in restoring functionality while preserving
the charm and spirit which inhabit old homes, in this case bringing back the
prevailing initial idea; welcoming large groups in an idyllic environment on the
side of a large white water river.
This cottage is located at 5 Km from Mont-Sainte-Anne, 30 minutes from Québec, 15 minutes
from the ski center Massif de la Petite-Rivière Saint-François, and is at the
heart of the Beaupré village, consequently within walking distance of it's
services.
The Manor contains 32 bedrooms, 15 bathrooms, a large living room, a separate
dining hall, fully equipped restaurant size kitchen, a large games room in the
basement and 1 meeting room. It can accommodate up to 79 people. The
total surface of the 3 floors is 15,000 square feet.
This manor is ideal for family reunions like marriages or large birthday
parties, vacationing with large group of friends or private business meeting in
a cosy decor.
Many caterers in our area are equipped to serve meals in this house at your
convenience. For very good breakfast, the rates start at $6 per person. For a
very good full dinner, the rates starts at $11 per person. These caterers can
also help you set up the dining room and clean it up after the meal at a fixed

- 2 bedrooms with a double bed each
- There are sinks in 11 of these bedrooms
- 5 shower rooms
- 4 bathrooms with toilets and sinks
- A heated patio for 15 people
On the second floor: 9 bedrooms for 23 people, 15 beds:
- 4 bedrooms with queen sized beds
- 1bedroom with a double bed
- 1 bedroom with a queen size bed and a bunk bed
- 2 bedrooms with a bunk bed (total: 4 people)
- 1 suite with a queen size bed, 2 single beds and a private bathroom
